Sharjah (she/they) is a teen that lives in NYC and started this podcast during quarantine. They love TV shows, books, history and spending time with friends because people are very important to her. Sharjah is a BIPOC queer young woman just trying to make a difference.

She started this podcast as she really needed a an outlet for all the anger they were feeling about everything that was and is happening in the world. Because of her mom's work, she can't protest but thought podcasting is the next best thing.

Faqs

When do you release episodes?
I upload on Fridays at 8pm EST and every 2 weeks, so 2 per month or more depending on how much time we have to record during the weeks because of school. Also, sometimes bonus episodes.

What equipment do you use?
I use my Apple headphones and record on QuickTime Player and edit on Descript. (not really high tech rn)

What episodes are your favorite that I should listen to?
I suggest listening to some of the collab episodes we have done on topics like Critical Race Theory, talk about abortions w. Blue Ridge Abortion Fund, etc. Also, how to deal with problematic friends, curly hair eps, and ones were I talk about my experience being queer, black and a woman. The tribrid ☺️lmao

What are the specific duties of your brand ambassadors?
Duties are spreading awareness of the podcast (getting your family/friends involved), following us on all social media platform, using your own platform no matter how big or small to for example repost our posts, and also listen to episodes of the podcast and bonus points giving us a review!! When did you start the podcast?
During the end of 2020 on October 9th but then started getting on Anchor in Jan 2021 and advertising in Feb 2021. Over a year since, which is really crazy!! 😝
